Critical Care Paramedic – Queensland Ambulance Service
Wayne Loudon is a Critical Care Paramedic in Queensland, Australia with more than 10 years’ experience in the prehospital environment. He predominantly works in a critical care response capacity however also acts in roles including operations supervisor, clinical deployment supervisor and the Local-area Assessment and Response Unit (LARU) within the greater Brisbane area.
Wayne is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate and guest lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology with a focus on prehospital Hyper-Acute stroke identification and management. Wayne is a scientific committee member for the Australia and New Zealand college of paramedicine, member of the Brisbane metro north Health and Hospital Service Hyper-Acute stroke working group and a peer reviewer for the British Paramedic Journal. His current research interests include the use of mobile technologies for prehospital stroke identification and stroke systems of care.
