Executive Director, Quality Improvement and Innovation – Wellington Free Ambulance
Paul has worked for Wellington Free Ambulance for 14 years and with his young family, is a resident on the Kāpiti Coast.
Paul was one of the first graduates to obtain a New Zealand paramedic degree, after which he qualified as an Intensive Care Paramedic. In 2009, Paul was selected as one of New Zealand’s first Extended Care Paramedics on the Kāpiti Urgent Community Care service. A year later he was appointed to the role of Implementation Manager.
After progressing through a number of management roles and working on projects including Urgent Community Care, Secondary Triage via tele-health and a national electronic patient report system, Paul is now the Executive Director for Quality Improvement and Innovation for Wellington Free Ambulance.
